Publications » A Welsh Woman's View
"My poems are an extension of my inner self." Sounds a bit heavily like Sylvia Plath. But Brenda Jones from Berwyn Fells, Oswestry, is a simpler soul than that. She's closer to her Cotswold heroine-poet, Pam Ayres. Her poems have particular resonance for those on the Welsh/English border. Their subjects range from her family to her friends and farming, to dancing-masters and celebrity figures in the news: life! At the core, is a commentary on Alzheimer's - a matter close to her heart. Always, she is fresh, her very self, and full of sunshine.
